POSITION INFO:

Role Purpose

The Mechanical Draughtsman will be responsible for creating and preparing detailed technical drawings and 3D models used in the design and manufacturing of mechanical equipment and systems. The role supports engineers by ensuring drawings are accurate, up to date, and compliant with design standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update 2D/3D CAD drawings and detailed manufacturing layouts.

• Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure accuracy of drawing documentation.

• Interpret engineering concepts and translate them into technical drawings.

• Assist engineers in design modifications and drawing revisions.

• Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and installation teams to resolve drawing-related issues.

• Ensure drawings comply with quality, safety, and industry standards.

• Maintain drawing registers and manage version control.

ssential:

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Draughting or related field.

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor).

• Strong technical drawing and design interpretation skills.

• Knowledge of fabrication, machining, and manufacturing processes.

• Attention to detail with good problem-solving abilities.

• Team player with good communication skills.

Desirable:

• Experience in mechanical/industrial equipment drawings.

• Familiarity with plant layouts, piping, conveyors, or automation systems.

• Understanding of standards for mechanical and industrial equipment.
