Mechanical Draughtsperson

SUMMARY:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading engineering firm in the mining and mineral processing sector, for a skilled Mechanical Draughtsperson to join their dynamic design team.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed mechanical drawings and layouts using Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software.
• Support engineers in developing 3D models, general arrangements, and fabrication drawings for mining and processing equipment.
• Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
• Participate in site visits to verify design accuracy and gather technical information.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control for assigned projects.

Requirements:

• Draughting Certificate or equivalent formal qualification.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in mechanical draughting within the mining or mineral processing industry.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (experience in SolidWorks or AutoCAD Mechanical is advantageous).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
