POSITION INFO:

Mechanical Engineer (B. Eng)
8 Years’ total experience in Mechanical Engineering of which 5 years must be in 3D modelling and design.
3 years research and development
Strong project management skills
Expert CAD skills
Must be able to perform advanced FEA and CFD analysis and interpret results.
Willing to work long hours and perform under pressure.
Understanding of fluid dynamics and centrifugal pumps will be a big advantage. Experience on mineral processing plants will be a big advantage.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

• Research and development of new products and technologies in the mining and mineral
• processing industry.
• Designing of new products and presenting ideas to colleagues for design review.
• Performing FEA and CFD Simulations and creating CAD models and drawing packs.
• Managing prototype builds and testing. Testing may be off-site on mineral processing plants.
• Investigate new suppliers and products and be at the forefront of available technology to improve products.
• Liaising with suppliers, create project plans and manage projects.
