Mechanical Engineer

SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry, has an opportunity available for a Mechanical Engineer to be based in the Matla, Mpumalanga area. This will be a contract position for 12 months.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• BEng Mechanical Engineering (Essential/Minimum)
• Must have experience in commissioning of a process plant
• Management Development Programme (Recommended/Desirable)
• Government Cert of Competence: Engineering (Recommended/Desirable)
• 5 years experience in Mechanical Engineering of which at least 2 years Project management experience - essential
• Engineering Council of SA (PrEng)  - essential

KPA’s

• Provide expert technical support to project teams
• Design in accordance with relevant specifications and proficiency
• Oversee the execution of fit for purpose engineering design
• Ensure compliance to sound engineering standards and quality
• Provide expert technical support and direction to project teams and business units
• Effective people management
