Mechanical Engineer

SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry, has an opportunity available for a Mechanical Engineer to be based in the Matla, Mpumalanga area. This will be a contract position for 12 months.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• B Tech Engineering (Relevant) ( Essential/Minimum) 
• Must have experience in commissioning of a process plant - ESSENTIAL
• Certificate First Line Management ( Recommended/Desirable )
• Diploma Project Management ( Recommended/Desirable )
• BEng Mechanical Engineering ( Essential/Minimum)
• 5 years experience in Mechanical Engineering of which at least 2 years Project management experience - essential
• Engineering Council of SA (PrEng)  - essential

KPA’s

• Provide expert technical support to project teams
• Support Principal Engineer in execution of engineering contracts in multi-disciplinary project
• Recognise, understand and take/recommend action to manage risks that can impact on outputs of own job and section
• Provide technical input to appropriate quantitative analyses conducted to evaluate financial viability of a project
• Manage budget and/or capital budget agreed upon in project charter
• Manage cost recovery aligned to departmental targets
• Maintain and ensure a healthy environment, safe operations and practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable SHE policies and procedures in line with set standards
