SUMMARY:
Our client in the Agricultural sector, has an opportunity available for a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer in the Dalton, KZN area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment – heavy industry would be an advantage
Continuous improvement knowledge and experience
Familiarity with Maximo systems would be an advantage

KPAs:

Develop & drive improvement projects to ensure current assets are maximised to their full potential
Provide engineering input for the Factory team in terms of equipment settings for the season e.g. Boilers, Mill Settings, Centrifugal cycle optimisation etc to the Project Engineer / Optimisation Head, including management / overseeing of on site projects and Maintenance head in terms of repairs to critical equipment / Abnormal projects etc.
Ensure optimal performance of all mechanical equipment through rigorous maintenance practices
Engage effectively and collaborate with key suppliers / contractors on site
Drive Maintenance improvements to optimise efficiency and output of all mechanical equipment
Provide engineering support for specifications and plant modifications
Maintain effective engagement with key maintenance & engineering service level providers
