Mechanical Engineer position as per below.

Mission of the Function: The mechanical design engineer is responsible for the design of the mechanical aspect of the energy meter. The design entails the requirement stage, design stage to delivery of a mechanical electronic/mechanical product. The mechanical design engineer must oversee the manufacturing process and make sure the tool is manufactured according to company standards. The mechanical design engineer must also oversee the implementing of the tool at a plastics/metal toolmaker. The mechanical engineer must maintain new and existing tools at tool manufactures. The mechanical engineer must find solutions for production problems that arise during the manufacturing process of meter parts (plastics/metal).

Must have and not negotiable:

Previous experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment
Strong problem solving and decision-making experiences
Excellent CAD skills, preferably CREO and AutoCAD
Experience of designing jigs, fixtures, and bespoke manufacturing equipment
The ability to design with engineering thermoplastics and metals.

Qualifications: Minimum: BTech Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial design engineer.

Preferred: BSc Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial design engineer.

Professional Experience: 5 - 10 years’ experience as a product design engineer

Responsibilities: Produce mechanical designs from product specifications or written instructions within a project team environment. Produce design and test specifications and associated documentation for the mechanical design.
