A mechanical engineering and manufacturing company specializing in the design and manufacture of mining equipment. We are seeking a skilled, experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and modify mechanical systems, components, and assemblies for mining equipment and industrial furnaces
• Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and bills of materials using Autodesk Inventor
• Manage engineering projects from concept, design, and procurement through to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning
• Prepare technical calculations, engineering reports, and design documentation
• Liaise with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective
• Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, installation, and commissioning phases
• Conduct site inspections, measurements, and assessments at client or mining sites
• Perform fault-finding, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions on mechanical systems
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and company quality procedures
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers on technical specifications and deliverables
• Review and approve technical drawings, designs, and material selections
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and progress reporting
• Support maintenance planning and provide recommendations for equipment reliability and longevity
• Mentor junior engineers or technicians where required
• Physically fit for site work, this includes taking measurements and assisting with site installation

• Experience in project management or exposure to managing engineering projects
• Experience working in mining or heavy industrial environments

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3–5 years’ relevant work experience in a mechanical engineering, manufacturing and mining environment.
• Proven experience in the design and manufacturing of mining equipment and/or furnaces
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Microsoft products eg word and excel
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
