Mechanical Engineer in the Consulting Engineering field with solid skills in Wet Services required. Role is at a well established award winning consulting Engineering company Cape Town office. This company provides innovative services in the HVAC, Fire, Wet services, Energy efficiency projects and consulting within the commercial Building and services sector.

POSITION INFO:

Position: Mechanical Wet Services Engineer

Location: Cape Town

Mechanical Wet Services Consulting Engineer/ Technologist required at a prestigious Consulting engineering firm

Company renders consulting services in the Commercial Building services Industry. Well established Clients for projects at private hospitals, Retail, Office Parks, Some Government Buildings and warehouses

Requirements:

B.Eng./ BSc. Mechanical Engineering
3-8 years experience in wet services/ skills in the consulting engineering sector
knowledge of basic design principles and applications of fire systems

Responsibilities:

Plan, design, audit, cost, specify, tender and project management of wet services for offices, retail, hospitals, hotels, gyms, data centres, commercial and public buildings
Fire risk analysis
Detail design of fire systems and to ensure that the design complies with Regulations, Codes of Practice, statutory requirements, including NFPA, BS, SANS and ASIB
Active and passive fire protection systems
Apply engineering calculations for automatic sprinklers, smoke detection, evacuations systems, smoke ventilation, hydraulic design, gas suppression and other engineering tasks that may be required
Plan, design organize and control complete projects
Prepare and present technical reports, financial reports, tender documentation
