Mechanical Fitter

SUMMARY:
Our client is an established chemical dosing equipment company operating in the water and wastewater treatment industry. Based in Macassar, they are seeking a young and motivated candidate to join their dynamic team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has a strong mechanical aptitude. A natural interest in mechanical systems and an ability to understand how they function are essential. The candidate must be capable of troubleshooting and solving technical issues as they arise.

Requirements:

• Minimum N6 Mechanical qualification
• Relevant trade test certification
• Solid technical and engineering skills
• Proven experience in manufacturing, troubleshooting, and engineering
• Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings
• 1–3 years’ experience in site installations, manufacturing, and assembly
• Physically fit and capable of working at heights and in confined spaces
• Good understanding of tools and technical equipment
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and machine tools
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Valid, unendorsed Code 08 driver’s license

• Effective communication in Afrikaans and English
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
• Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
• Able to perform under pressure in a practical, hands-on environment
