SUMMARY:

Looking for a Junior Mechanical Fitter to join the team in JHB - Eastern Suburbs. Temporary position with a focus on machinery assembly and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with assembly and disassembly of machinery, equipment, and components.
Perform basic mechanical maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, replacing worn parts, and tightening fasteners.
Support senior fitters in troubleshooting mechanical issues.
Follow work instructions and technical drawings under supervision.
Use hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment safely.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Adhere to safety standards and procedures at all times.
Record completed work and report issues to supervisors.

Skills & Competencies:

Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and manuals.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
Awareness of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices.
Team-oriented with good communication skills.
