Mechanical Foreman

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Foreman for Mine in Brits area. It will be on Surface and Underground at the Vertical Shaft.

POSITION INFO:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ARE ESSENTIAL:
- Grade 12.
- N3 – (Mechanical or Industrial).
- Fitter Trade Test.
- Foreman Certificate will be advantageous.
- Winder experience will be advantageous.
- 5 Years and above as Mechanical Foreman.
- 3 Years shaft experience.
- Good general health AND a certificate of fitness (Red Ticket).

Main responsibilities will include:
- Meet production targets, reduce costs & manage performance of direct production staff.
- Process monitoring, control, optimization and manage process recipe.
- Effective supervision of subordinates (Attendance & Wellness).
- Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations and ensure compliance.
- Will hold 2.9.2 appointment.
- Ensure adherence to mechanical standards and procedures.
- Coordinate and monitor equipment availability and ensure continuous effective communication with relevant stakeholders to minimize production delays.
- Identify key performance shortfalls, gaps, and critical improvement areas.
- Coordinate training and development of team members.
- Characteristics or skills that is required.
- Sound planning (time management), and organizational abilities.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize.
- Good customer and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function on your own and within a team.
- Independent, self-motivated, proactive thinking.
- Ability to communicate in English (written & verbal) and one other official language.
