SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Foreman to join their friendly team in the Maydon Wharf area.

POSITION INFO:

The position requires the individual to Supervises and controls the mechanical fitting and boilermaking applications and activities associated with planned maintenance, breakdowns/ repairs, new installations and modifications of the mechanical infrastructure and equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Trade Tested Artisan (Mechanical Fitting)
N6 – Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification obtained from an accredited further or higher education institute
Minimum 5 years Mechanical Fitting, Rigging and or Boilermaking experience in a Supervisory capacity in a heavy industrial environment
Knowledge of Occupation Health and Safety Act
Knowledge of Labour Legislation
Computer Skills (Microsoft Office applications)
Must have a valid driver’s license and own transport
. Ability to work in a team and motivate a team

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS: ( NOT LIMITED TO ) :

Implementation and Execution of Planned Plant Maintenance
Manage and control plant and machinery breakdowns and repairs
Manage all new installations and plant modifications
Supervision of all Workshop staff and ensure Legal and Operational compliance
Administration related to tools, equipment, materials, consumables and staff requirements
Liaise with both external and internal stakeholders
