JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry, has an opportunity available for a Mechanical Foreman, to be based in the Brits area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

NQF level 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate) with English literacy or N3 in Engineering Studies
Fitter/Boilermaking trade certificate ( Sec 13 or 26D)
Completed formal learnership programme prior to obtaining a Fitter/Boilermaking trade test
Foreman Certification will be advantageous
At least 5 years’ experience as an artisan prior to being a foreman
At least 3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Foreman in (Conveyors, Chairlifts, winches, Pumping systems, Fans and Rock Breakers)
Experience in engineering and construction projects
Supervisory management skills
Proficient in MS Office package
Medical Certificate of Fitness

Duties:

Manage and supervise mechanical teams underground
Assist in implementation of asset management strategies
Mentoring of artisans
Managing of a maintenance budget
Development of subordinates
Implementation of engineering standards and procedures
Adherence to Mine Health and Safety Act Regulations
