Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the Manufacturing Sector is looking to employ a Mechanical Section Engineer to join their dynamic team in Middelburg.

Job Description:

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for managing the Mechanical Maintenance Team in the Cold Products Area and is accountable for the: Health and Safety of all employees as per the OHS Act, Engineering and Maintenance procedures and practices to optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness and Cost Management. The successful candidate must align the team with production to execute the maintenance plan and to improve quality, availability and efficiency to achieve the KPI’s.

Job Responsibilities:

The Engineer is responsible for the Mechanical Maintenance in the Cold Products area and the functions include:
Safety and legal compliance, maintenance management, root cause failure analysis, corrective actions and improvement management, people management and development.
The incumbent will be responsible for a broad range of mechanical engineering technologies and will be required to lead the Mechanical Team to maintain and optimise the life cycle cost of the assets performance.

Job Requirements:

Minimum qualification, ND in Mechanical Engineering with more than 5 years of relevant engineering experience and at least 4 years of experience in a position responsible for people management.
The ideal candidate will hold a B Eng, B Tech, in Mechanical Engineering with at least 4 years of experience in an engineering role responsible for people management.
Legal compliance certification in terms of the OHS Act
Training in Maintenance Principle and Practices
Management Development training with more than 2 years of experience in a management role.
Computer literate
Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet work deadlines with attention to detail
