SUMMARY:
Mechanical Supervisor / Chargehand

POSITION INFO:

A reputable timber processing company in the Eastern Cape is looking for a Mechanical Chargehand / Supervisor . You will report directly to the engineer, and must comply with the following criteria:

Minimum Specifications:

Matric with relevant technical/ engineering qualification - NQF Level 6
Appropriate fitter and Turner trade test certificate
5 - 8 years management experience in an industrial production environment
5 - 8 years’ experience in providing technical support with automated production equipment
Knowledge of the sawmill industry will be an added advantage

Technical Requirements :

Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels
Must have a high level of commitment to accuracy and quality
Must be technology inclined
Must have the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Must be innovative and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team
Must be safety conscious
Must be able to supervise, coach and mentor
