POSITION INFO:

Mechanical Supervisor required for a permanent position in Durban

The candidate must have the following experience and will have worked in the Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Formulating Production Program – Control/Planning
Achieving targets and ensuring that budgeted guidelines are met
Scheduling work throughout plant/site
Managing general multi projects
Liaising with contracts managers daily on updates of the projects
Liaising with clients
Ordering of raw materials/components for plant equipment and labour utilization
Set delivery schedules
Management of Mechanical Engineering Team
Adherence to Health and Safety Requirements
Adherence to ISO Standards
Adherence to any other instruction as given by the Contracts Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Matric or National Technical Certificate 3
Tertiary Qualification in Mechanical (Trade Test)
Supervisor Experience Essential
Knowledge of Boiler making/Pipefitting/Welding Experience required
Valid Driver’s License Code 08
Own Transport Essential
Must be willing to travel and work away from home

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Minimum of 2-3 years Supervisory and Management Experience
Knowledge of Quality Control Plans
Knowledge of AutoCAD Designs
Knowledge of OHSA Act
