Mechanical Systems Technician

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a hands-on professional Mechanical Systems Technician to join our team in the Netherlands.

POSITION INFO:
You will work from our client’s location in Den Helder, supporting projects in the region.
These projects are run by multidisciplinary teams consisting of engineers and technicians with specialisations in mechanical and electrical engineering.

As a Mechanical Systems Technician, you are responsible for the realisation and maintenance of mechanical installations such as HVAC systems, heat pumps, sanitary systems, and cooling units.
You will:

• Ensure mechanical installations are completed and operational within agreed timelines.
• Collaborate with a team, often working alongside electrical colleagues in a multidisciplinary setup.
• Carry out projects at high-security and unique locations, including military facilities.
• Act as the main contact on-site for supervisors and junior technicians.
• Share your knowledge and coach apprentices and subcontractors.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvement and innovation — your voice matters.

• A Red Seal qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Installation Technology
• Experience as a technician with solid knowledge of tools and materials
• A valid VCA certificate, or willingness to obtain one
• Strong interpersonal skills and a hands-on mentality
• The flexibility to work on-site and in rotating teams
