Mechanical Technician

SUMMARY:
International EPC in the oil and gas industry has opportunity for Mechanical Technician on their project in Angola

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

• Maintenance/Commissioning of Mechanical Equipment
• To ensure a high level of Mechanical Equipment availability
• To adhere/comply with all Health and Safety (HSE) requirements

• Carry out planned maintenance as per maintenance program and to client standard
• Carry out corrective maintenance as requested by supervisor
• Comply with all HSE rules and regulations

• Open Permit to Works and carry out associated risk assessment
• Provide recommendations to improve maintenance efficiency
• Carry out commissioning and minor modification
• Provide information on timely basis for inputting into  Maintenance Management System
• Identify critical spares max/min levels associated with Engineering discipline
• Assuring that the work is performed as required by the contract and meets or exceeds the required qualities
• Assuring the acceptable quality of materials, processes, and workmanship in the project work
• Carrying out construction activities such as fitting and connection of mechanical components and checking the same to approved for construction drawings
• Monitoring the issue of materials and the appropriate receiving report for the delivered materials.

• City and Guilds (Uk) or recognized Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Valid BOSIET offshore survival certificate

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Mechanical maintenance in oil/gas sector working on pumps/compressors etc.
• Fluent English(written/spoken
• Previous work experience in offshore oil/gas facility
