POSITION INFO:
The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician for a Fixed Term Contract with our client in Richards Bay. Â

Â

The primary function of the technician role is to provide technical support for the artisan team.

This is done via the execution of more complex maintenance activities, the full management of spares support, analysis and action on condition-monitoring reports as well as management of operational risk.

The secondary function is to provide support to the mechanical engineer in strategic maintenance activities as well as improvement to both machine operation and maintenance processes.

Will be required to have their own car and a valid drivers license Code B.

Â

Minimum educational level:

National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Registered Engineer (ECSA)

Â

Required Skills and Experience:

5 Yearsâ?? experience as Mechanical Artisan
3 yearsâ?? experience in heavy industry environment in a Mechanical Technician position
Condition Monitoring experience will be an advantage
Working knowledge with SAP PM (Plant maintenance) SAP MM (Materials Management)
