Mechanical Technician - MSS AGV

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join their operations in Saudi Arabia.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description

• Responsible to handle repair, preventive maintenance, overhaul, calibration, inspection, and troubleshooting, related to more complex maintenance and repair jobs of AGV.
• Analyse problems in AGV equipment, diagnose the solution and implement the mechanical repairs/ correct equipment faults.
• Prepare schedules and execute preventive and predictive maintenance to optimize availability and reliability and quickly return under-performing equipment to design specification program (calibration, inspections, cleaning, and adjustment).
• Input information to the system Plant Maintenance module (e.g., create reservations / spending, raise requisitions to procure materials, create closure).
• Check the operation, adjust, replace, repair, configure, calibrate, and maintain the AGV equipment to ensure its efficient operation and availability.

• Takes reasonable care for his health and safety in the workplace. He must also take reasonable care for the health and safety of others who may be affected by what he does.
• Cooperates with EHS team about any action they take to comply with the EHS Act or Regulations.
• Executes the preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance activities as per planned program according to Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Check the functionality of AGV batteries and other instruments and test the instrument for pre-set values in accord with allowable limits and standards.
• Dismantle, repair, overhaul, reassemble, inspect, and test equipment that has been repaired as requested.
• Accomplish weekly, monthly, quarterly and year PM for AGV, Charger panel, Field RIO & AP panels and field instruments on each AGV station.
• Diagnose malfunctioning of mechanical parts and hydraulic components, using test equipment and hand tools, knowledge, and experience to identify the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Trouble shoot and resolve more complex technical problems in order to get the equipment back in running condition.
• Executes the preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance activities as per planned program according to Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Check the functionality of AGV and other instruments and test the instrument for present values in accordance with allowable limits and standards.
• Perform comprehensive troubleshooting on Hydraulic system down to component levels to extend the life of obsolete equipment.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Perform work in a safe manner and is responsible for following all safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure work reports are entered correctly in the maintenance information system after completing each job

•  Technical certificate or diploma in relevant trade.
• 5-6 experience in technical industry with previous experience on specific type of equipment.
• Detailed technical knowledge of the specific process being operated is required.
• A comprehensive knowledge and skill to handle the AGV Systems and Maintenance.
• Comprehensive technical skill / trade in AGV.
• Ability to read and listen and understand English.
