POSITION INFO:

Forming part of a respected and established Accounting and Tax services team, the role of the Medical Aid Broker will have responsibility for dealing with all medical schemes and GAP providers especially Discovery and Momentum.

Based in Durban North, this established financial services firm, offers their growing portfolio of clients a wide range of expert, financial solutions with the goal to grow business.

Duties include:

• Medical aid and Gap cover sales and advice
• Comprehensive knowledge of Discovery and Momentum products
• Look after new business and existing clients (advise, sales and reviews)
• Scheduling and attending meetings
• Discussing and assessing clients’ current and future insurance needs
• Researching insurance policies and products
• Negotiating policy terms and costs with insurance providers
• Arranging insurance cover for clients with the insurance providers
• Advising clients regarding claims on their policies
• Renewing or amending exiting policies for clients

Qualifications and experience required:

• 120 insurance credits
• FAIS qualifications: RE5, NQF5/6
• Registered with the FSCA for categories 1.2 and 1.16
• Must be accredited with the CMS
• Minimum of 4 years advice experience within the Health Insurance industry.
• Strong relationship building skills and be able to service current client base
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
• Medical Aid and primary health care and Gap cover product knowledge
