SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Medical Officer (Investigator of Record) for a 3-year contract role based in East London, Eastern Cape.
POSITION INFO:
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:  MBChB and HPCSA registered as a medical practitioner (independent practice) Valid BLS and Good Clinical Practice certificate 3 or more yearsâ experience in a clinical research environment Proven experience as a Principal Investigator \/ Investigator of Record for at least 1 clinical trial that was successfully started and fully enrolled Valid ACLS certificate advantageous Clinic knowledge and able to lead \/ manage a team Valid drivers and good computer skills Able to complete study documentation legibly The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to: Site investigator of record (IoR) Clinical procedures â check blood results, complete prescriptions, monitor examinations undertaken Protocol specific procedures â ensure adherence to SAHPRA, recruitment \/ screen \/ enroll participants, ensure informed consent obtained Clinical trial project management Managing data integrity and patient safety Document all procedures \/ investigations and attend meetings Ability to conduct pelvic examinations Salary: Negotiable  Please email detailed CV and supporting documentation and salary requirements through to with âMedical Officerâ in the subject line If you have not received a response within 7 working days, please consider your application unsuccessful
