POSITION INFO:

We are recruiting a Medical scheme Membership Administrator to join our team on a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for quality assuring and processing various types of medical scheme applications and member requests. i.e. new membership applications, transfers, dependent amendments, processing of ancillary products (GAP, Vitality, Multiply), termination of members, change of principal members, transfers, and claims queries according to the agreed processes and timelines. 

Essential Qualification:

• Matric

Preferred Qualification:

• Relevant industry and FAIS (NQF Level 5 and RE) advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Advanced knowledge of medical scheme rules, FICA, FAIS, and TCF 

Experience required:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a healthcare administration

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Quality assurance of all tasks received
• Execute related tasks within the agreed timelines
• Clear and concise communication with relevant stakeholders
• Constant updating of the CRM system until the resolution
• Understanding of billing timelines
• Special projects i.e., year-end revision, spouse’s verification, and ad-hock projects

• Quick learner
• Must be able to work in a team and self-motivated
• Proficient in English and fluent in at least 2 of the official languages
• Ability to prioritize 
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to problem solve and follow through on tasks
• Work under pressure and strictly defined deadlines
• Adopts a positive attitude, willing to assist colleagues when required 
• Shows initiative and takes personal responsibility for completing tasks
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Excellent Interpersonal and Communication [verbal and written] skills at all levels
