Mid-Level Fullstack Developer

POSITION INFO:

Our client based in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Mid-Level Fullstack Developer.

Duties:

• Participate in daily stand-up and weekly review and retrospective meetings
• Applicants will work primarily in PHP, MySQL and Vue.js
• Create and modify existing software: fix errors, address technical debt, improve performance, upgrade interfaces.
• Test, troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
• Implement, maintain and run system testing and validation procedures.
• Consulting with internal departments on features status, updates and feedback.
• Working with departments on technical issues.
• Communicate effectively with managers and team on limitations and capabilities.
• Securing and managing data
• Integrate with various third-party platforms

Requirements:

• Degree or Higher qualification in IT depending on role
• More than two years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role or more than one year experience with a PHP framework and JS frontend framework:
• PHP framework working experience (non-negotiable)
• JavaScript based front end framework working experience (non-negotiable)
• Comfortable with Git repository management
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment.
• Knowledge of coding languages (PHP and JS) and (similar) frameworks (Symfony and Vue)
• Experience with (similar) databases (MySQL) and (similar) Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks (Doctrine)
• Resourcefulness, troubleshooting aptitude and problem-solving ability
• The desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications.
• Willing to expand knowledge at a rapid pace and open to being exposed to new areas of development which may be new and challenging
• Previous experience working with and implementing third party platform API integrations
