Our client, a leading industrial and manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled Millwright to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. This role is ideal for a technically minded individual with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety and equipment reliability.
Minimum requirements
- Matric
- Red Seal Millwright Trade Certification (essential)
- Minimum 2–3 years’ practical experience in maintenance, installation, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment
- Valid driver’s license (Code B or higher, depending on site requirements)
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Knowledge of safety regulations, workshop procedures, and quality standards
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems efficiently
- Strong physical fitness and ability to work in industrial environments
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle OR reliable transport

Duties and responsibilities
- Perform regular servicing and preventive maintenance of machinery and production equipment
- Diagnose and repair machine breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, including trucks and forklifts
- Perform basic electrical work related to machinery and equipment as required
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals for troubleshooting and repairs
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and service schedules
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely

Monday - Friday: 07h30 - 17h00
