POSITION INFO:
We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team as a Factory Maintenance Technician.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining machinery within our factory.

Duties include conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all equipment is operating efficiently.
The ideal candidate will be a Trade Tested Artisan with over 6 years of experience in a similar role.

Role: Millwright - Factory Maintenance Technician
Location: Pinetown - Durban - KZN
Industry: Footwear / Leather - Manufacturing

Start Date: Immediate

Requirements:

• Trade-Tested Millwright (Red Seal essential).
• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Experience managing or mentoring junior staff.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Safety-conscious and reliable under pressure

• Experience in footwear, textiles, or similar fast-paced production environments.
• Welding, fabrication, or light construction skills.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs or automation systems.
