SUMMARY:
Fitter and Turner / Millwright – Underground mining & Surface Support required for a Service Technician position based on the East Rand

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

Artisan Qualification, Diploma, or Degree in Fitting and Turning or Millwright.
3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role or department.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical product support (underground and surface), including:
- Troubleshooting and fitment of new or repaired components.
- Pump commissioning, product condition monitoring, and end-user training.
Identify business opportunities such as complete pump overhauls and sub-assembly repairs during field interventions.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with Mine Shaft Foremen, Fitters, and other key stakeholders.
Manage service exchange delivery and fitment, including:
- Attending to breakdowns.
- Handling component deliveries and collections to and from clients.
