MINE MANAGER  (RUSTENBURG/NORTH WEST PROVINCE)     

Provide unsurpassed strategic leadership of shaft resources to ensure maximum business plan parameters:

1. Production
2. Efficiency
3. cost
4. safety targets

 THE OBJECTIVES

 

• To ensure production targets and profit margins are achieved cost-effectively and safely on a sustainable basis for the shaft/business unit
• To implement and maintain sound people management and development practices to ensure a productive workforce
• To develop and execute the strategic vision/plan for a shaft(s) and directly assist the GM in the tactical management process via transformational/effective leadership
• To act as the custodian for innovation, technology & best practices at shaft level 
• To ensure environmental and social concerns are managed as a strategic focus area at shaft level To ensure effective asset management processes are implemented and adhered to

 

 

EDUCATION

 

• Degree in Mining, B Tech (Mining) or Nat Higher Diploma: Metal Mining
• Professional Certified Engineer
• Blasting Certificate
• Mine Manager certificate
