Mine Manager

SUMMARY:
We are recruiting a Mine Manager for one of our Client representing the Platinum Mining Industry

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate should fulfill the following minimum requirements 

Qualifications and knowledge 

• NQF 7 (Bachelors Degree or Advanced Diploma) in Mining 
• Mine Managers Certificate of Competence 
• Mine Overseers Certificate of Competence 
• Business qualification will be an advantage 
• Relevant Computer Skills (MS Office & SAP)
• Working knowledge of applicable legislation, standards and statutory requirements 
• In-depth knowledge of trackless/conventional mining methods, best practices, principles and associated technologies 
• Knowledge of Mine planning, layouts and design as well as applicable technical services rendered within the mining industry 
• Able to perform statistical services functions, ie survey, geology, sampling etc 
• Able to liaise with various stakeholders across the business value chain and industry (ie associations, communities, unions, DMR etc) 
• Strategic decision-making ability 
• Ability to coach and motivate team members 
• Strong communication ability 
• Ability to set a budget and control planning in line with LOBP 

• At least 3 years experience as a Mine Overseer (inclusive of excellent safety and production results) 
• At least 3 years experience as a Mine Manager(inclusive of excellent safety and production results) 
• Platinum Mining Experience 
• Conventional mining methods and experience
