Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our client's team as an Open Cast Mine Manager. As the leader of their open-pit mining operations in the Lydenburg / Steelpoort area, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the mine's production, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the open pit mine, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and production targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency, minimize costs, and maximize resource utilization.
- Provide leadership and direction to a diverse team of mining professionals, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate mine planning, equipment maintenance, and logistics activities.
Qualifications & Technical Skills:- Professional Mining qualification at NQF level 6: Relevant degree
- Blasting Certificate
- Competent as Mine Manager with relevant Mine Manager's Certification
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in open-pit mining operations, with a proven track record of leadership and achievement.
- Strong understanding of mining methods, equipment, and technologies used in open-pit mining operations.
- Knowledge of drilling, blasting, hauling, and processing techniques, with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.
- Ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and implement process improvements to optimize performance.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends in the mining sector.
Leadership and Management Skills:- Proven leadership ability with experience in supervising and motivating multi-disciplinary teams.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities.
