Mine Overseer - Business Development

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Mining Industry has an opportunity available for a Mine Overseer - Business Development in the Burgersfort, Limpopo area.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Experience Requirements:

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) certificate is essential
• Mine Overseer Certificate of competency is essential
• Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines is essential
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Production Mine Overseer is essential
• Computer literacy (MS Office Package) is essential
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills
• Sound leadership skills are essential
• A valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate

KPAs:

• Identify, Analyse and develop production improvement action plans
• Coach Operational Line Supervisors on basic mining: planning, delegation, job allocations
• Plan short term and long term strategic objectives
• Develop and implement turnaround strategies
• Management of ICU crews
• To comprise written monthly progress reports including reports on trials and tests of new equipment performances
• To coach mine overseers in the planning, leading, organisation and efficient running of the sections
• To organise and direct the shift Supervisors, miners and Panel leaders in all best practice disciplines
