Mine Planner -DRC

SUMMARY:
Purpose of the Role The Mine Planner is responsible for the specialist planning function. This includes the onsite mine design, Short term schedules as well as the implementation of short term planning and controls. The work focus timeframe is typically 2 years.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Tertiary planning/Mineral resource qualification/Mining engineering certificate
• Over 5 years in Mine Planning and Surveying
• Mining Engineer or Survey
• Underground and surface work required
• Mine Design and Scheduling proficiency

Responsibilities:

• Set up the Planning System
• Implement the mine plan on suitable software provided
• Remedial action to counter deviant practices
• Implementation of planning standards and practices
• Setting Planning Standards - Set planning standards for the effective implementation of the planning system.
• Implement LOM plan - Lead mining team in the planning and scheduling process - Produce suitable mining alternatives and options
• Timeous presentation of scenarios - Advise on scenario alternatives using the planning system - Apply model to create scenarios
• Skills and competencies:- Mine Planning- Surveying or Mining Engineering- Ability to manage a monthly planning cycle effectively. - Computer literate, MS Office and - Experience with Deswik design and schedule packages. #miningjobs #mineplanner #DRCjobs #jobsinafrica
