SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry is urgently looking to appoint a Miner in their company in Saudi Arabia in the middle East.

POSITION INFO:

The successful incumbent will be responsible for operating underground jumbo drill rigs such as Sandvik DD320 including travelling, inspection of machine and pre-maintenance check. Familiar with all the important parts of the drill rig. Operates Underground Long Hole machine such as Atlas Copco SIMBA 7SD or Sandvik Quasar including travelling, and drilling of up-hole, down-hole and slot raises with the correct angles. Performs machine inspection and pre-maintenance check. Familiar with all the important parts of the drill rig.

Desired Experience and qualifications:

• Completion of Intermediate (9 years) education
• At least 5 years'' mining experience
• Experience in drilling using Jumbo or Long Hole machine.
• Experience in Explosives Charging Especially Long Hole Charging
• Experience in Dump Truck and LHD operation
• Underground Construction works

Technical Competencies / Professional Expertise

• Driver’s License
• Proficiency in English

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To deal with explosives on a safe manner
• Charging of the development face with a full advance after blast.
• Charging of long hole (up hole) with a full blast achieving the full targeted length after blast.
• Charging of Slot raises with full blast achieving the targeted length of the slot raise.
• Operating Low profile trucks in underground on a safe manner including inspection of the machine and pre-maintenance check.
• Operating LHD Scoop tram in underground on a safe manner including inspection of the machine and pre-maintenance check. Loading of materials on the Dump Trucks including rock filling, cleaning the loading areas and development areas. Operates LHD on narrows areas.
• Installation of Underground water pipe.
• Installation of Underground Air pipe.
• Installation of different kinds of Underground Electric cables.
• Installation of different sizes of Ventilation fans and ventilation ducts.
• Performs basic Underground Civil construction works.
• Washing & barring down the roof and side walls of the blasted areas on a safe manner.
• Installation different types of Underground pumps.
• Monitors the operation of equipment and ensures safety of other workers working in his area.  Advises supervisor and maintenance area of equipment maintenance requirements for review and required action.
• Inspects work areas and ensures observance of Mine safety regulations.
• Declares areas safe after regular blasting has taken place.  Identifies, and reports misfires to supervisor.
