SUMMARY:
responsible to provide specialized Mining Engineering expertise, direction and support the Operational Mining Functions in accordance with relevant processes, standards, and performance targets. Provide technical guidance, co-ordinate and execute defined Mining

POSITION INFO:

Bachelors Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent

ï‚· A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a mine production environment - massive mining (please clearly indicate on CV)

ï‚· Blasting Certificate

ï‚· Mine Managers Certificate of Competence .

ï‚· Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced)

ï‚· Valid driver''s license

ï‚· ECSA Registration.

Technical Competencies:

ï‚· Conduct a variance analysis and determine the effect thereof.

ï‚· Demonstrate a good understanding and knowledge of ore deposits, strata control principles and practices.

ï‚· Convert manpower requirements, tonnage requirements, equipment/machinery availability, back to the operation plan.

ï‚· Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of mineral processing and economics.

ï‚· Demonstrate knowledge and skill of all applicable environmental policies, procedures, legislative requirements, principles and practices.

ï‚· Demonstrate knowledge with regard to applicable mining legislative requirements.
