SUMMARY:

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Mining Underwriter to join a specialised and growing team within a dynamic financial services environment.

POSITION INFO:
This role sits at the intersection of finance, risk, and the mining industry , offering exposure to complex transactions and high-value clients. You will play a key role in assessing risk, structuring guarantee solutions, and supporting strategic deals across the mining sector. Key Responsibilities: Analyse financial statements and assess creditworthiness of mining clients Evaluate operational and financial risks within mining businesses Structure and underwrite guarantee facilities Manage and build relationships with clients and brokers Support deal structuring on complex and high-value transactions Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and market risks Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Mining Engineering, Law , or a related field Minimum of 5 years' experience in credit, financial services, insurance, or mining Strong financial analysis and risk assessment capability Highly Advantageous: CA(SA), CFA, or MBA FAIS compliance and RE5 Why This Role: Work with leading mining clients and industry stakeholders Exposure to complex, structured financial solutions Blend of technical underwriting and client engagement Strong career growth within a specialised niche environment Apply Now: If you're looking to take the next step in your underwriting career within the mining sector, we'd love to hear from you.
