JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

• Conduct module risk assessments to ensure risks are properly captured , measured, monitored, controlled and reported
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made and drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy
• Identify and escalate new and emerging risks
• Ensure appropriate and documented internal controls and procedures in place.
• Maintain procedures for monitoring, management and reporting of operational risks arising within area of responsibility
• Manage module risk control, including limit setting, monitoring, analysis and escalation
• Use analytical and programming skills to design, develop and enhance models and control processes
• Contribute to the annual planning process as requested by the Head of Audit by providing feedback and knowledge in terms of business. This will include identifying auditable entities, assessing the audit needs assessment and preparing all Management Information reports required.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• BCom Degree (Commercial, Informatics, Statistics)
• CA (SA), CIA, CISA

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• 5/8 years’ relevant experience in module Risk and/or Internal Audit.
• 3 years’ experience in model development or model risk management
• Experience in Internal/External audit or commensurate experience in a major financial institution
• 2 years of SAS programming experience
• 5years’ experience in risk based auditing or risk/control activities.
• Understand control, regulatory & risk issues
• Ability to articulate complex issues clearly
