SUMMARY:
Our client in the Public Sector has an EE opportunity available for a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist. This will be fixed term contract position for 4 years, based in the Midrand, Johannesburg area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Relevant B-degree, preferably in M&E or related fields.
Project Management qualification (PMBOK or Prince or Similar).
A certification in quality management will be an added advantage.
Extensive work experience of at least 7 – 10 years across multiple areas of government.
At least 7 - 10 years’ direct experience in the M&E of large-scale national programmes and projects.
Good understanding of the PFMA.
Proven experience in conducting research including the entire M&E cycle from design and formulation to implementation, analysis and presentation
Demonstrated experience of at least 3 - 5 years in computer statistical packages and / or data analysis software.
Demonstrated experience in the collection of data, management of large-scale surveys and data analysis.
Strong understanding government planning cycle and processes
Demonstrable track record of working with high level government stakeholders.
Comprehensive knowledge of the complex regulatory environments of municipalities, state-owned enterprises and other government entities in South Africa.
Experience in working with Microsoft Office (Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and MS Projects)
Experience in building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

KPAs:

Develop and implement the M&E strategy/process/system that will ensure tracking of the implementation of the one plan per district.
Develop and implement and efficient data collection processes and systems.
Undertake data analysis and reporting for all relevant purposes
Train the project / programme teams in the use of the M&E process, system and the application of M&E tools.
Timeous and quality of reports for the various audiences
