Our client is a prominent and highly successful multi-franchise automotive retail group in South Africa. Known for its extensive national footprint and modern workshop facilities, the group provides an excellent platform for technical professionals to advance their careers.

This permanent position, based at a high-volume dealership facility in Durban, requires a skilled Motor Vehicle Technician to handle vehicle maintenance, complex diagnostics, and repairs. You will work alongside a dedicated team to maintain high workshop efficiency and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle servicing, major mechanical repairs, and component replacements.
• Conduct advanced technical diagnostics and fault-finding using modern equipment.
• Ensure all repair orders are executed efficiently and completed within specified manufacturer timeframes.
• Keep in line for OEM quality standards, workshop processes and procedures
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship to ensure first-time-fix success and minimize comebacks.
• Adhere strictly to workshop health, safety, and environmental protocols.
• Participate in ongoing brand and technical training updates as required.
• Commitment to excellent customer service both in technical aspects as well as in dealing with customers face to face where required.
• Maintain productivity and efficiency standards as set by the companies minimum KPI requirements

• Valid South African Trade Test Certificate (Motor Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician).
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience working within a franchise dealership workshop.
• Strong proficiency in modern vehicle diagnostic systems, electronic troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.
• Valid South African driver’s license.
• Clear criminal record.
