Multimedia Designer/ Animator

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Liaising with clients and developing animations from their concepts
• Creating storyboards that depict the script and narrative
• Designing models, backgrounds, sets, characters, objects and the animation environment
• Developing the timing and pace of the movements of a character or object during the sequence of images and ensuring they follow the soundtrack and audio requirements
• Using technical software packages
• Building up accurate, detailed, frame-by-frame visuals
• Recording dialogue and working to composite the various layers of animation (backgrounds, special effects, characters and graphics) in order to produce the finished piece
• Collecting voiceovers from relevant parties and including it in the animation
• Working to production deadlines and meeting clients' requirements
• Dealing with diverse business cultures
• A lot of the work will involve pitching and being proactive in selling ideas and work to existing and prospective clients

Minimum Experience and Qualifications Required:

• A tertiary qualification in animation/ art and design/ film and video/ multimedia/ graphic design or any other related field
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role required
• Experience working with various software packages will be advantageous
