SUMMARY:
Our Cape Town client has been an industry leader for the past 70 years. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing plant provides well-known brands to over 5,000 clients in the Consumer, Industrial and Construction industries. This role reports to the Group Financial Manager.

POSITION INFO:

Key Performance Areas

Manage a team of +-12 employees including recruitment, training, motivation, discipline, leave, performance management etc.

Manage adherence to credit sales policy including credit bureau liaison

Obtain credit insurance

Draft Credit agreement

Set credit limits

Manage Rebates and discounts

Manage the reduction of bad debts

Meet performance targets

Calculate provisions and manage overdues, DSO, Bad debts and Credit balances

Report on weekly cash flow and age analysis, monthly age analysis and KPI reports

Control attorneys’ fees, CGIC, credit bureau fees, TDW scanning, retrieval and storage costs

Calculate provisions for credit notes, settlement discounts and bad debts

Maintain customer masterfiles, ISO Compliance and M-files compliance

Manage clients in the Retail, Industrial and Construction industries

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Matric

Tertiary qualification in Credit Management Essential

Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in the Credit industry

Minimum 5 years in a Credit Management role

Syspro and Qlikview knowledge preferred

Highly proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook

Knowledge of the credit bureau industry, and working with the legal profession
