National Key Account Manager in the liquor industry with Wholesale or On-Con experience!

POSITION INFO:

Key Account Manager - Liquor industry - Gauteng

Our Client is presently the largest privately owned wine and spirits merchant in South Africa. A tireless dedication to hard work, honesty and the personal touch has led to long standing and well trusted relationships with some of the most successful spirit brands in the world.

 

Due to ongoing expansion, they are now looking to recruit a Key Account manager to join their team in Gauteng:

Key responsibilities include:

¨       Maintain regular contact with key accounts by calling and negotiating prices, promotions and services

¨       Manage and achieve quarterly and annual key account targets

¨       Achieve regional and national market share targets

¨       Identify volume opportunities within allocated key accounts

¨       Category management and pricing management as per standards set

¨       Management of annual trade agreements and disbursements

¨       Strick commercial budget management

¨       Setting of price parameters, shelving and display standards and advertising parameters

¨       Management of account specific price lists and listing of new products

¨       Effective communication of all agreements within the team

¨       Manage rebate and cycle deal expense accounts

¨       Manage credit terms within company policy

¨       Design and implement innovative key account promotions according to brand prioritisation

¨       Maintain excellent communication links with stakeholders

¨       Review and reporting to management as defined

 

To qualify, you will need:

¨       A relevant Bachelor’s Degree/ NQF 7

¨       At least Up to 8 years’ experience in Key Accounts Management in either an OnCon environment or Wholesale environment.

¨       Proven experience working in the liquor industry will be a distinct advantage

¨       A working knowledge of the key account network

¨       Sound, successful track record in the FMCG sales environment

¨       Ability to create and recognise opportunities

¨       Strong selling skills

¨       Innovative thinker and problem solver
