National Operations Manager

SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic National Operations Manager to join our growing team. Based at our Germiston head office, the successful candidate will take full responsibility for leading and managing operational performance across our national footprint, ensuring service excellence, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement in line with our strategic goals.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full operational function across all national sites, ensuring alignment with business objectives and KPIs.
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and compliance to health, safety, and quality standards.
• Develop and implement robust operational strategies, systems, and processes.
• Manage and mentor regional operations teams to drive performance, consistency, and accountability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, warehousing, procurement, finance, and HR.
• Prepare and present operational performance reports to executive leadership.
• Lead change initiatives and continuous improvement programs across operations.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining service levels, delivery timelines, and resolving escalated issues.
• Manage operational budgets and cost controls, identifying opportunities for savings and optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.

• Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in a senior operations leadership role, preferably within logistics, manufacturing, or industrial services.
• Proven ability to manage large, dispersed teams and complex operations.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
• Hands-on experience in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Syspro, or similar).
• Willingness to travel nationally as required.
