SUMMARY:
As National SHERQ Manager, ensure that the adopted Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety and Quality Management Systems nationally at all Centers are effective and running efficiently to ensure legal compliance is obtained and maintained.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Grade 12 level math, minimum standard grade
  • SAMTRAC or similar
  • Audit certificate
  • 5-8 years’ experience in H&S, FS & Quality Management environments
  • Experience in a service environment would be advantageous
  • Registered as an H&S Practitioner with SAIOSH
  • Familiar with SA H&S Legislation, ISO 9000, 9001, 14001, 19011 and----- and British OHASAS 18000 standards and OHSAS18001
  • Advance HACCP & PRP’s
  • ISO22000 and ISO9001 essential
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

 

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Guide Management on the implementation and maintenance of the approved H&S management system (OHSAS18001:2007) based on OHSAct and other related legislation.
  • Assist with setting up of the required legal documentation
  • Assist with setting up other H&S documentation required for best practice principals
  • Assist with setting up emergency procedures
  • Ensure a proper HACHEM program is in place nationally with adherence to all related HACHEM legislation and maintenance for all HAZCHEM products.
  • Guide Management on the implementation and maintenance of the approved FS management system (FSA) based on GFSI, SANS10049, SANS10330, SANS241 and ISO22001
  • Assist with setting up of the required legal FS documentation
  • Assist with setting up other FS documentation required for best practice principals
  • Assist with setting up emergency FS procedures
  • Do regular physical and documentation audits to ensure that compliance audits are maintained and provide recommendations to site and senior management to improve the program.
  • Guide Site Management on the implementation and maintenance of the approved FS programs
  • Guide Management on the implementation and maintenance of the approved Quality management system (ISO9001:2016)
  • Assist with setting up of the required legal documentation
  • Assist with setting up other Quality documentation required for best practice principals
  • Do regular physical and documentation audits to ensure that compliance audits are maintained and provide recommendations to site and senior management to improve the program
  • Drive national and international initiatives and awareness programs on promoting Quality issues and create a positive Quality culture.
  • Cleaning & hygiene and Pest control Management Nationally
  • Security-related incident investigations or arrange for external investigations where required
  • Develop and implement pharmaceutical policies, procedures and records
  • Obtain and maintain SAPC licenses for all relevant depots
