Regional Sales Manager - Durban - Large-scale Power Generation Required Sales Manager in: thermal process equipment, pressure vessels or large-scale power generation machinery ie. High-Capacity Fired Heaters & Furnaces, Advanced Heat Recovery & Generation Systems, Large-Scale Pressure Vessels & Reactors, Heavy Power Generation Turbines The main purpose of the position is to: Identify marketing opportunities to expand customer base and brand awareness. Generate new enquiries through expanded customer network. Liaise with Finance and Contracts departments in preparing commercial conditions. Arrange customer site visits where required. Review customer requirements and define technical and cost-effective and accurate solutions. Prepare and submit sales tenders for standard product requests Liaise with Engineering and Proposals department for preparing complex tenders Negotiate and close projects to achieve order intake budget target for the allocated Region Initiate internal contract requirements, downpayment, and other financial conditions Hand-over enquiry quotes and costing, including contact details of suppliers. Visit and maintain communication with customers Identify shortfall risks in meeting the budget target and create action plans to bring budgets back in line. Provide annual input to overheads budget costs and support these budgets to remain within operational cost levels. Identify and address potential talent and skills gaps (OR critical\/key roles in team). QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of a BSc (Mech Eng) or B.Eng (Mech) from a recognised university EXPERIENCE: 5 years industrial experience in Sales Be able to interact with customers at all levels of seniority CRM system knowledge and exposure Strong negotiation skills Excellent communication skills, both oral and written in English Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams skills Ability to work well within a team environment as well as without supervision Ability to travel locally and abroad
