JOB DESCRIPTION:

National Sales Manager – Packing Industry

Location: Johannesburg South

Salary: R50 000 – R60 000

A national sales manager oversees the overall sales objectives, goals and revenue of all the teams and sales personnel they supervise and to develop and maintain successful relationships with customers. The Incumbent will grow the customer base and support the sales team to achieve this objective. The person will also be responsible for the brand and marketing initiatives to enable further brand recognition and support existing and new marketing strategy.

Primary duties

Developing and implementing effective sales strategies
Leading nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets
Establish productive and professional long-term relationships with customers
Supervising sales team
Negotiate and close agreements with large customers
Monitor and analyse performance and suggest improvements
Prepare sales forecast reports
Perform research and identify new and potential customers
Provide timely and effective solutions
Liaise with marketing and product development departments to ensure brand consistency
Initiate and manage new product launches
Manage and monitor daily sales operations
Promoting products
Drive sales conference, packaging conferences and further strategic sales initiatives

Requirements

· Proven Experience as a national sales manager
· Experience in managing a high-performance sales team
· MS office – Advanced (Word, excel and Powerpoint)
· Excellent negotiating skills
· Available to travel as required
· Relevant qualification in sales, marketing and Business administration
· Must be from a manufacturing industry
· Must have a qualification or at minimum 10 years in the sales industry with 5 years at a senior managerial level.
