SUMMARY:
A leading international Manufacturing Company specialising in rigid packaging requires the above to manage all sales aspects of the Company as well as establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective Key Accounts.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Previous experience having worked in a Sales or Key Accounts Management role within the Rigids Packaging industry is essential.
  • Previous experience having dealt with the likes of large food and beverage and related manufacturers, having built strong relationships with these Customers is preferred.
  • Previous experience in developing strategic and business plans is essential.
  • The successful candidate needs to have excellent organisational and leadership skills as well as excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Develop new business as well as manage Key Accounts.
  • Compile weekly reports on the CRM system, monthly sales forecasts (versus actual sales achieved) as well as monthly sales reports.
  • Develop and revise the sales strategy in line with the overall Company strategy.
  • Implement the strategy by monitoring sales targets, budgets, new business, Customers and call cycles.
  • Locate and propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners as well as discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Set and review annual sales and expense budgets.
  • Achieve and improve upon the annual agreed sales turnover as to achieve maximum profit (individual sales versus actual sales achieved).
  • Continuously improve and expand the current customer base and identify new markets and conversion opportunities.
  • Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a market intelligence system to ensure detailed knowledge of competitors and product trends.
  • Review potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements and financials, evaluating options, resolving internal priorities and recommending equity investments.
  • Build and maintain good working relationship with Customers to ensure the understanding of their needs and business.
  • Examine risks and potentials.
  • Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations and applicable laws.
  • Continuous update of price guidelines and provide price and product information to Customers and potential Customers.
  • Approve price requests which fall outside formal pricing and negotiate product specification.
  • Manage Customer queries and complaints.
  • Maintain stock levels in accordance with current and future market trends.
  • Monitor orders against delivery plan and ensure that delivery dates are met.
  • Actively monitor and maintain debtors to ensure that all debt is being controlled.
  • Ensure product development and initiate innovation in so far as it relates to the rigid plastic packaging industry.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
