National Sales Manager - Rigid Plastic Packaging

SUMMARY:
A leading manufacturer specialising in Packaging requires the above to be accountable for managing sales on a national basis establishing market trends and always driving to maximise profit.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Previous experience having sold Rigid Packaging or raw materials into the Food and Beverage industry is essential.
• Previous experience having worked as a Sales Manager managing an External Sales Team is essential.
• A tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Defining sales and marketing objectives and strategies for sales territories.
• Managing sales budgets, forecasts as well as driving yearly sales targets.
• Maintaining maximum operational efficiency of the Sales Team to drive performance through training, mentoring, coaching, and motivating the Team.
• Driving and managing sales forecasting and operational planning process.
• Obtaining market share according to the Company’s strategy.
• Managing and overseeing all contracts and agreements with Customers and Distributors in alignment with the Company’s strategy.
• Assisting Quality and Operations ensuring that the Customer complaint reporting process is adhered to.
• Generating and presenting sales reports to Senior Management. 
• Obtaining and initiating new business projects on a national level.
• Optimising and selectively implementing new products in order to maximise profit.
• Ensuring that the Sales Strategy is aligned with the Business Strategy and accepted by the Board.
• Managing and negotiating pricing.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
