JOB SUMMARY:
A well-established manufacturing company supplying animal feed products into the agricultural and related markets requires the above to manage, and drive a technical team, develop and ensure quality products are promoted and presented at customers on a national basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

MSc Degree in Animal Nutrition or related is essential for the role.
Previous experience having worked as a national technical manager within the animal feeds and nutrition or related industries is essential for the role.
Must have good knowledge of format.
Must have nutrition knowledge, subject knowledge, procedural knowledge and knowledge of Act 36/1947.
Must have good communication and good analysis expertise and supervisory skills.
Must be assertive and be able lead teams and build relationships across cultures.
Must be able to manage through and across the organisation matrix.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing and driving a technical team, developing and ensuring quality products are promoted and presented well at customers.
Providing overall technical support to the National Sales Team.
Managing and ensuring that the Production Team understands and manages formulations and quality control maintaining quality and traceability.
Managing and driving budgets and forecasts.
Ensuring all products and procedures meet the requirements of Act 36/1947 and for export.
Ensuring products exported are registered properly.
Managing and driving product development.
Identifying needs for new products in field of operation.
Accompanying sales agents with writing of articles, radio interviews and ensuring that sales agents are properly trained and understand the applications of products.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
