POSITION INFO:
.Net Architect with Azure
Permanent
Remote (but offices based in Cape Town for those who prefer the office)
An opportunity for a strong .Net Architect has opened up within a growing Fintech company – a purpose driven organisation who are passionate about helping small and medium enterprises succeed.
This is a newly created position, and the Architect will play a lead role in developing and implementing systems architecture to meet the companies & customers needs.
The organisation needs someone the company can look to as a technical leader in the business and trust to shape and deliver innovative technical architecture to enhance and scale the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity to cement this function and guide architectural design for the team. You will need to be highly knowledgeable in domain architecture and be adept at steering technology roadmaps and providing technical leadership to a growing engineering team.
Responsibilities:
You will assist in developing and driving our architectural vision to support our ambitious growth strategy
Evaluate, assess, advise and design solutions to solve software problems across the business that are efficient, robust and will set us up for long term success
Ensure high quality standards are met and that adequate architecture and design are used to steer our business solutions
Take the lead on planning sessions to ensure complex business problems are resolved.
Collaborate and work closely with leads, stakeholders and cross functional teams
Play a key role in ensuring alignment with our technical roadmap
Coach and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
BSc degree in comp Sci, BEng or equivalent
10+ years experience with a strong technical and architectural background
Ability to make smart technical design decisions and a proven track record of translating business requirements to sound technical solutions
Experience working with cross-functional teams
We are looking for those who are role-models in their space, and have the ability and desire to mentor and guide others
Strong architectural understanding and technical skills across Azure Cloud, infrastructure, .Net Core, C#, SQL Server, MVC, Microservices, Serverless components, Distributed systems, CI/CD pipelines, messaging, EDA, Scripting, Durable functions
